Organizing Services
The Mobile Librarian LLC provides organizing services for individuals, homes, nonprofits
and businesses.
Paper - Create a system(s) for efficiently and effectively managing paper, including incoming and outgoing documents, mail, bills and invoices, legal documents, household information, business files, letters and other office and home office papers
Homes - Go through closets, cabinets, kitchens, garages, attics, kids' rooms and other spaces and remove clutter and unwanted items, organize what remains and offer suggestions for storage and other ways to stay organized
Offices & Home Offices - Set up effective filing systems that work for you, remove clutter, clean out storage areas and/or find better storage methods, establish practical methods for processing mail and other paperwork, archive outdated materials
Collections - Organize and catalog (inventory) your collection(s) of papers and documents, audio and video cassettes, files, record albums, photographs, letters, wine, sheet music, DVDs, comic books, CDs, maps, magazines, recipes, newspapers and postcards
Libraries - Home, business, nonprofit and church libraries (see Library Services for more information)
Family Services
The Mobile Librarian LLC provides family services to individuals, couples, families, heirs and estate administrators.
Adult Children and Their Parents - Assist with downsizing and helping parents settle into small living spaces, organize parents' possessions (those that are moved to the new space and those being given away or sold), help parents learn to get organized in smaller spaces, work with adult children to organize and process paperwork related to caregiving
Estates - Photograph and/or inventory the contents of the deceased's home, organize items in the home in preparation for moving or an estate sale and assist you as you clean out and organize your loved one's home
Paper - Create filing and paper management systems that work for you, teach you how to manage papers (mail, bills, documents, etc.) so that you don't feel overwhelmed
Clutter Control - Get rid of items you no longer need, want or use to free up space and make your life easier to manage
Organizing - Sort through and organize kitchens, closets, garages, basements, sheds, crafts and hobbies materials, files and papers and anything else you need help organizing
Donations/Recycling - Taking items you no longer want to charities such as Goodwill and Habitat for Humanity or transporting items to recycling centers. Note: The Mobile Librarian LLC reserves the right not to transport any item it deems unfit for transportation, donation or recyclingLibrary Services
The Mobile Librarian LLC provides professional library services for home, business, non-profit and church libraries.
Organizing — Physically organize the materials in your library according to your specifications (for example, by genre, title, author, date, etc.) so that you can find what you need when you need it
Cataloging — Create an electronic and/or paper-based inventory of the materials in your library to track what you own, assess what you want or need to buy and for insurance purposes should something happen to your library
Collection Development — Determine what materials your library needs now and will need in the future; also space planning for adding to your collection
Weeding — Establish criteria for deciding which materials to keep and which to get rid of; also physically remove unwanted materials. Note: The Mobile Librarian LLC reserves the right not to transport any item it deems unfit for transportation, donation or recycling
Policies and Procedures — Create policies and procedure for nonprofit, business and church libraries, on issues such as collection development, circulation, cataloging and classifying materials
Teaching — Instruct members of your organization on how to organize, catalog, weed, classify and operate your library; also, teach people how to use your library and/or public and academic libraries
Classifying — Assign call numbers to library materials and create an online and/or paper card catalog system
New Libraries — Create a new library for your organization from scratch
Packing/Unpacking — Pack library materials for storage or for moving and unpack them after a move
